Card Samples

As a new Stampin Up demonstrator I held my first workshop last week and I wanted to share with you some of the card samples I took along to demonstrate...

Card No.1
This is my favourite of the 3 cards and it was so quick and simple to make!!
It's a 4"x4" white card, and I used the stunning candy stripe paper that I'm just in Love with!! I used one of the label punches on the paper, and of course did my signature doodling!! The ribbon was in my general stash and it's tied around the paper then stuck down! The sentiments is from the "Itty Bitty Banner" selection and the matching die....

Card No.2
Another little card....this one measures 3"x3" and this pattern paper is the reverse of the candy stripe...I used the same punch as above and used foam pads to raise it off the flat card. The sentiment is again from the same "Itty Bitty Banners" selection and it stamped using "Coastal Cabanna", lovely!

Card No.3
The last of the 3 and it's still a simple design...sometimes I think simple is best!
This card measures 3"x4" and is a combination of the 2 papers from the previous 2 cards... Same punch from before and another sentiment from the "Itty Bitty Banners" range...

Any of these cards can be adapted for any occasion and really are so quick to make!

Enjoy!xx

Happy Anniversary!!

Today is my cousins very first wedding anniversary and of course I made a card....
Continuing with my love for buttons, distressing and doodling plus my new love of twine and threads this is my creation....
I didn't have many anniversary options in my stash so I used some of my peg letters for the words and the congratulations stamp is from my Stampin' Up kit for which I've just become a demonstrator for....

Hope you like it!

Wobbly Stripes!!!

One of the things I love in crafting is stripes...horizontal, vertical, thin, thick, multicoloured and wobbly!!!

Whilst having one of my daily browses around Pinterest I came across a card made out of wobbly stripes and thought I would have a go...and this is what I came up with...!!

I started off with 5 pieces of paper all measuring 2" x 4" and cut them into different waves (free-hand of course!) then had fun trying to fit them all together....

I distressed each wave slightly which I felt really helped make the waves stand out and added some doodling...

On the card I took inspiration from, they finished their card off with a sentiment as that was it!!

I felt the card needed something else so I added the birdie...I left the birdie in black an white as I felt this didn't distract from the waves and you don't often see a stamp left like that!!

A little Happy Birthday sentiment and that's that!!

So my card went from this...

To this...

This card was made for a Begonia Crafts Card Class which are held regularly in Twdyall, Kent!

And for anyone who hasn't discovered Pinterest, it's available in your trusty App Store and online...LOVE IT!!

I LOVE Buttons!!

Buttons, buttons, buttons...I love buttons!!!

Buttons are so handy for using as embellishments, centres of flowers or anything you like really!! I tend to pick up packs of buttons online, in craft shops and even charity shops, I love them!!!

I have previously seen cards made where buttons are the main attraction of the card and tonight I had a go...what do you think??!!

I loved it and was so pleased with how it turned out that I gave the card to my very special friend, Laura, for her Birthday on Sunday!

New Home!!

This is a quick card I made for friends who...can you guess???...have just moved house!!!

I am in love with these letter stamps (I have no idea of the brand as I got them from a craft fayre and threw the packaging away too quickly)...they are fab for scrapbooking!!!

I used a red Stazon ink pad and raised them using foam pads....effective!!

A Lovely Little Birdie....

Hi....

Another birthday card I made earlier.....

These stamps really are so versatile and continue to be my "go-to" stamps of choice for quick little cards....

You Whoo...!!!

Another long pause since my last post...oops!!

It's been a busy few weeks full of birthday celebrations, days out and yes some crafting....

This is a birthday card I made for my lovely cousin for her birthday at the beginning of August....

I've used one of my favourite stamps of the moment (STILL!!), some lovely distressed looking papers, a doily and a good old fashioned brad!!! And not forgetting the little button of course....
